Having a good sales relationship involves being able to know what your customers want, what they are looking for and where they have been. You don’t want to try to sell them a product they already have or try to convince them to do something that is counter to their business model or values. Doing market research generally will help you create a better product, but doing specific market research when working with leads will help your sales team know your clients better and make lasting relationships based on what they know.
