Ask any small business owner what the most difficult part of running their business is, and chances are most will tell you it’s finding new customers. Whether you call it “sales” or whether you refer to it as “lead generation” the fact is, it’s a crucial part of any organization. Your leads turn into customers, so the task of finding those leads is one of the most important parts of your new business. Don’t worry however, because finding leads doesn’t have to be as scary or daunting as it may seem. There are a few things you’re probably already doing that can be adjusted to bring in even more new potential business.

Improve your FAQs

The frequently asked questions section of any website is always one of the most popular pages. A lot of potential customers will land on that page seeking quick answers to all their questions about your business or product. Build up your FAQ section on your website to truly maximize the information available to your potential leads. You’ll also want to include plenty of keywords and links to other websites, which will go a long way to optimizing your FAQ page for search engines. You’ll also want to keep your call to action clear and easy to find on your FAQ page. Simple, clear language, plus lots of helpful information and a call to action will maximize your FAQ page and in turn, your lead generation.

Offer free classes

It seems that you can find answers to every possible question online, and you can find classes for every possible subject online as well. There are a lot of ways to offer a free class or two to an interested audience, plus free online classes are a fantastic way to generate a lot of new, highly interested and very qualified leads. Try Udemy, which is an online education delivery platform offering more than 32,000 courses to more than eight million students all over the world. Before you jump in however, search Udemy for the currently offered classes, and take a look at what is most popular and what kinds of classes aren’t offered yet. Then design a class or two, making sure to capture your students’ email addresses and start building new leads.

Don’t neglect mobile

It wasn’t that long ago that the biggest trends in lead conversion were online, however now it’s on mobile. More and more people today are using their tablets and phones to do the bulk of their work, meaning that your lead conversions needs to be very mobile friendly. You need more than just a responsive website design. You need click-to-call buttons on your mobile site, click-to-purchase buttons and other ways to make the buying decision even easier for your mobile consumer. Whether you are a business-to-business organization or business-to-consumer, mobile conversions are here to stay, so make sure to maximize your mobile presence.
